This policy complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).

Artificial intelligence assistant
The website has an automatic artificial intelligence assistant that answers questions about the products, shipping and pickleball. We tell you clearly in the chat window itself: you are not talking to a person, and its answers may contain errors. For any important decision, or if you want to talk to someone, write to us on WhatsApp or at info@pasionpickleball.com.
Do not type personal data in the chat (name, address, phone, order number with details, health information or payment data). The assistant does not need it and has no access to orders or customer data.
To generate each answer, the text of your question and the latest messages of the conversation are sent to Google (Gemini API), which acts as the artificial intelligence service provider and may keep them temporarily under its terms, among other things to prevent abuse. The intermediary server that connects the website to Google is hosted at Hostinger. The assistant makes no automated decisions that affect you: it only informs.
Are you required to give us your data?
The data marked as mandatory in the forms is necessary to process your order or inquiry. If you don't provide it, we won't be able to assist you.
Who else has access to your data
We share data only with whoever is necessary to provide the service:
- Shopify Inc. — shop platform and hosting.
- Payment providers (Shopify Payments and similar) to process the payment. We do not store your full card details.
- Logistics and sourcing provider, to prepare and ship your order.
- Google (Gemini API) — generates the AI assistant's answers from the text you type in the chat.
- Hostinger — hosting of the AI assistant server.
- Klaviyo, Inc. — sending emails and SMS to those who have subscribed, cart reminders and post-purchase messages.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — if you decide to write to us on WhatsApp.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook and Instagram) — measurement and advertising, only with your marketing cookie consent. Contact data is sent hashed.
- Carriers in charge of delivery.
- Public authorities when there is a legal obligation.
International transfers
Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area. When this happens, the transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or by an adequacy decision. If you shop from the United States, the United Kingdom or another country, your data is transferred to Spain and processed as described here.
Your rights
You can exercise at any time your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, portability and not to be subject to automated decisions. You can also withdraw your consent when you have given it.
Write to us at info@pasionpickleball.com stating the right you want to exercise. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid.
Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data. The shop runs over an encrypted connection and payments are processed through certified gateways.
Minors
This shop is not aimed at children under 14. If you are a minor, you need the authorization of your parents or guardians to buy.
