When a set pays off

- You're looking for a complete gift that can be used on day one.
- You don't yet know which paddle you like and prefer not to spend on a high-end one.
When it's better to buy separately
- When you already know what weight and shape you're looking for.
- When you need a high-end carbon paddle with maximum power.
- When you're only missing one thing (balls or a bag).
What to check before buying one
- What exactly it includes: how many paddles, how many balls and whether the bag is really a bag.
- Face and core material: fiberglass or carbon; polypropylene honeycomb or other.
- Weight and dimensions: a paddle of about 220 g (7.8 oz) is light and easy to control.
- If it says it meets a standard (for example, USA Pickleball), who claims it and whether you can verify it.
- Adult or kids' size.
- Delivery time and returns. With a return window, the risk is low.
