The real PASIÓN PICKLEBALL products: backpack, cover, insoles, ankle support, elbow sleeve and knee support

The best pickleball accessories: what to buy and what not to

There are hundreds of pickleball accessories and most are unnecessary. This is the short list: what someone who plays several times a week would buy, where you notice it, and when it isn't needed.

We're a shop that sells them, so we say it clearly: none is mandatory. With a paddle, balls and suitable shoes you can already play.

For the feet

STRIDE insoles. In pickleball you stop, pivot and push out sideways. The insoles in your shoes aren't designed for that. They are a comfort accessory, not a medical one.

For the joints

They don't treat injuries. If you have one, see a doctor. To choose, read which one I need.

For carrying your gear

  • RALLY backpack: if you carry a bottle, towel and balls.
  • CARRY cover: if you carry just the essentials (paddle, phone, keys).

Comparison in cover or backpack.

For the ball

SCOOP ball pickup tool: it slips onto the handle and holds the ball. It saves you from bending down.

What you don't need to buy at first

  • An expensive paddle. Start with a mid-range one.
  • A big paddle bag.
  • Five more accessories before you've played for a month.
